ORC Week 4… Big Girl Bed!

ORC-Guest-400white

Week 4 of the One Room Challenge!  This past month just FLEW!!  But I am soooo close to being finished with this room.  And good thing, because there are only two weeks left till the reveal!

I have put all sources along with some links for items in this room at the very end of this post.

My daughter’s big girl bed finally arrived from Wayfair, and it is absolutely perfect!  I didn’t want a bed with a footboard, with it being so cramped as it is, keeping things open as possible is key in this space.  I first stumbled across this bed on Pinterest, and knew I needed something similar.  I was jumping head over heels when I found the exact bed on Wayfair.  I didn’t have to settle for “similar” after all!

I LOVE the carved detailing along the bottom of this bed.  It was just the added detail I needed since I had to “give up” a footboard.

I’ve been slowly collecting the bedding over the past year.  Mostly because when I first saw this floral white quilt from Target, I could NOT pass it up.  I knew it was going to be for my little girl’s big bed one day.

All bedding and pillows, minus the pink Euro sham are from Target.  The Euro sham was a recent find at Home Goods.

Her furry friends are basically the heart of this room.  Cotton Tail bunny has been with my little girl since birth, and her sweet Honey Bear joined our family over this past Christmas.  It’s all she asked for: a brown teddy bear.  And her wish was granted.  She sleeps with these critters every night, and they have many adventures every day together.  Cotton Tail has had MANY visits to the wash, and I’ve had to sew each of her ears back on.  I know Honey Bear will have received the same amount of love in no time.

This pink velvet blanket from Target’s new Opal house collection is an absolute dream!

The biggest pieces to this room makeover are finished!  YAY!!!  I know it seems complete, but I’ve saved the best for last!  I swear I was more excited than a kid on Christmas over these last few details that I’ll share with you next week.  😀  So stay tuned my buddies!  And thanks for stopping by!
